Version 1.2-2026-07-14 · These terms supplement the TripLink Terms of Service.
1. Your payment commitment
When a chauffeur completes a trip you posted, you owe them the settlement amount shown on the trip's settlement ticket (the posted fare plus any agreed extras). Payment is due within your payment window, which is 48 hours of the settlement being issued by default (see Section 5), and is made exclusively through the platform: the secure payment link on the chauffeur's invoice, or one-tap payment with your saved card, both processed by Stripe and deposited directly into the chauffeur's own account. Off-platform payment (cash, Zelle, Venmo, or any other direct method) is not supported and does not discharge a settlement. TripLink never holds, routes, or takes any portion of trip funds.
2. Card on file (payment assurance)
Before posting trips, you must keep a valid payment card securely on file with Stripe, TripLink's payment processor. TripLink never sees or stores your card number. The card is not charged when saved and is never charged while you pay your chauffeurs on time. You may also use the saved card yourself at any time to pay an invoice in one tap after reviewing it.
3. If a settlement is not paid on time
If a settlement remains unpaid past your payment window, your ability to post new trips is paused automatically until it is resolved, and you will receive reminder notices during the window.
4. Backup Payment Authorization
You authorize TripLink, through Stripe, to charge your card on file for the exact unpaid settlement amount if a settlement remains unpaid at the end of your payment window (48 hours by default; see Section 5) and no dispute is open on it. This charge is processed by the servicing chauffeur's own Stripe account, and the funds go directly and entirely to that chauffeur; the chauffeur's business name may appear on your card statement. This authorization applies once per unpaid settlement, is triggered only by non-payment, and remains in effect while you have an account with trips posted under these terms. You may revoke it by closing your account once all outstanding settlements are resolved.
5. Payment window and payment performance
Your payment window is 48 hours per settlement by default. Paying within 24 hours counts as an on-time payment; repeated late payments may shorten your window to 24 hours for future settlements, and it is restored by paying on time. Your payment performance may be reflected in factual indicators shown to chauffeurs on the platform (such as an on-time payment badge); TripLink displays only positive or neutral indicators, never a negative rating.
6. Disputes
If you believe a settlement is wrong, open a dispute on the trip before your payment window closes. An open dispute pauses the backup charge until Support resolves it, and disputed settlements never count against your payment performance. Charging back a legitimate backup payment with your card issuer, after the service was verifiably delivered, is a breach of these terms and results in suspension.
7. Reaffirmation on every trip
Every time you post a trip, you reaffirm these terms for that trip, and TripLink records that acceptance (timestamp, account, and network address) together with the trip's service records.
8. TripLink's role
TripLink is a technology platform connecting transportation providers with independent professional chauffeurs. TripLink is not a carrier, employer, payment processor, escrow agent, or party to the transportation agreement between you and the chauffeur.
